Mauktik Kulkarni; Engineer, Neuroscientist and Traveller. In 2008, to break out from the monotony of graduate school in the States, he flew out to South America, picked up a motorcycle, and explored the back roads of Peru, Chile, Argentina for six weeks. Inspired by “The Motorcycle Diaries”, but with virtually no knowledge of Spanish, he managed to clock 8000 clicks; discovering a magical new world by letting himself go with the flow of new culture and new people. Touched by the kindness of Latin Americans, he wrote his memoir A Ghost of Che: A motorcycle ride through Space, Time, Life, and Love which received rave reviews from readers.
